Who can be baptized?

People of all ages can be baptized at Hubbard UMC. We baptize by sprinkling Holy Water and making the sign of the cross on the forehead with anointing oil to invite the presence of the Holy Spirit. Here at HUMC, we recognize baptisms from other faiths and churches and therefore do not re-baptize people.

When do baptisms occur?

Baptisms occur during select worship services throughout the year. To schedule a baptism, contact the church office at (218) 732-0224 for a specific date. You will also schedule a time to meet with a pastor in the week prior to the baptism to get acquainted, learn the meaning of baptism, and walk through the experience. We also record videos of the baptisms and provide a copy to the family as well as a baptismal certificate.
