Thank you for your interest in Hubbard United Methodist Church. At HUMC, you can expect to be warmly welcomed! Because HUMC has a number of members who are “transplants” to this area, the church has become, for many, the “family” that cares for its neighbors.
Members have chosen to live here because they love and appreciate the clean air, lakes and woods of the north country. They have chosen to worship here because no matter where they come from, or what they are looking for, they have found a warm welcome at HUMC.
We know that visiting a church can be scary, so here are some tips that might make your experience here a little less daunting:
Sunday Worship Sunday morning’s begin at 8:45 with a traditional Hymn Sing and Worship begins at 9:00am.
Sunday Fellowship You are invited to join us following worship in the fellowship hall located just behind the sanctuary for coffee and refreshments. There you will find friendly folk who will welcome you, and be happy to share their Hubbard Experience with you!
Children in Worship Children are valued here at HUMC. All children are welcome and invited to sit with their families during the worship service, or they may choose to engage together at tables located between the sanctuary and the fellowship hall and read, do puzzles, crafts, or other items that are available. There are also children’s activity bags available as you enter into the sanctuary. Youth Group and Kid’s Club are on Wednesday afternoon/evening with dinner included. Families who would like to take a respite from worship with their children, are welcome to go to the youth room and hear the message there.
Come As You Are There is no need to dress up when you come to HUMC, (unless you want to!) We are an informal, friendly community who simply gather to worship, sing, pray, and grow together in our relationship with God.
I Am New to HUMC You are encouraged to make an appointment with Pastor Lauren by calling the office at 218-732-0224, or emailing email@example.com. She will be happy to help you get acquainted with the variety of missions and ministries that happen here, answer any questions you might have, and help you to discover how God can use you and your special gifts to find purpose and meaning in your life.
